Q&A
1. How much does a mural cost?
The price for an indoor mural starts at 160€ per m² (+VAT 13,5%). Minimum 500€ (+VAT 13,5%). The cost is influenced by factors such as the level of detail, the location of the work, the condition of the surface, and the size of the mural.
The price is calculated on a project-by-project basis, with the mural designed to fit the client's budget. With a larger budget, you can have a fully painted, detailed mural covering the entire wall area. A smaller budget allows for a simpler mural of the same size, or a pattern covering just part of the wall, directly applied over the existing paint surface.
2. How long does it take for a mural to be completed?
The completion time is project-specific. The duration can range from a few days to several weeks, depending entirely on the size of the painting, the level of detail, the timing, and the location. You will receive an estimated completion time for your project before the painting begins.
It's the best to schedule the project during a quiet period when there is minimal traffic in the area being painted. The completion time can be shortened when work can proceed in uninterrupted stretches.
It's also important to note that if the project takes longer than the estimated time, there will be no additional charges. The mural will always be completed for the agreed price, carefully and thoroughly.

Gym Valimo Center, Pitäjänmäki
The gym at Valimo Center was renovated, and they commissioned a mural for the space, giving me full creative freedom. Running legend Paavo Nurmi is the perfect link between Valimo Center, owned by Nurmi-Yhtiöt Oy, and the world of sports, so he served as the inspiration for the mural.
In the painting, the runner’s year-round training trail culminates in a race track and in one of Nurmi’s nine Olympic gold medal victory moments. I also highlighted key milestones of his running career in a separate piece in the form of a timeline (using www.paavonurmi.fi) as my source).
Even beyond the world of sports, many visible achievements and peak moments require years of continuous work and practice without any visible (or even promised) rewards. In the painting, I wanted to give the greatest space to this “invisible work”. Perhaps that is where the greatest reward in life can be found, and all other medals are simply a bonus.

Opus Business Park, Herttoniemi
Opus Business Park wanted cherry trees for their lunch restaurant, where I had previously also painted a landscape of Herttoniemenranta. The client wished to keep the blue brand color as the base and to make the painting as timeless and year-round as possible.
I created the artwork using the client’s brand colors alongside the interior color palette. I shaped some of the flowers with modeling paste. The painting is located in a cabinet area that can be separated with curtains, and there are spotlights in front of the wall so it also works nicely as a photo backdrop.

Satama Bar & Bistro, Herttoniemi
Satama Bar & Bistro wanted a mural of the Herttoniemi area for their Herttoniemi location, and I was given creative freedom to execute it. I chose a Herttoniemenranta landscape and ordered an aerial photograph of it. I then scaled the scene onto the wall and painted it by hand, centimeter by centimeter.

Való Mind & Health, Kamppi
Való Mind & Health wanted an art wall for its new premises, where everyone who has been part of Való’s story could leave their own mark. Over time, the space would transform into a fully covered, ever-evolving art wall made up of each person’s unique contribution.
For this wall art project, a movable wall was arranged so the artwork could be taken along if the premises change. My role was to paint their logo and "start" the art wall, leaving space for others to evolve and transform it over time. I created my section using Való’s brand colors and tailored it to fit the theme of light, as "valo" means "light" in Finnish.
I also worked as a “paint barista” during a couple of art evenings, where more than 20 people created their own artworks on the wall. Many had not painted at all since school art classes, and it was a joy to hear how much they enjoyed painting again after such a long time.

Valimo Center, Helsinki
The client wanted to elevate the look for the first-floor elevator lobby of the Valimo Center office building. A white 6.4m x 3m wall awaited a mural – I was given a budget and full creative freedom to design the painting. I also took into account the appearance of the rooms close by while planning the mural to ensure it harmonizes with the surrounding environment and aligns with Valimo Center's colors and brand.
The mural was very warmly received. I was told that from now on, it feels professional to walk through the space with clients.
Valimo Center wrote about the project to their website.

Restaurant in Kamppi, Helsinki
The restaurant owner requested a 6m x 2.6m mural of a Helsinki landscape to add ambiance to the space. The room has large windows facing a busy street, so to enhance the sense of tranquility, I left out smaller details. To achieve an elegant result, I chose a single tone that perfectly complements the interior design and painted the entire scene using that, black and white paint. This ensures the mural works both year-round and at all hours of the day.
The mural completely transformed the restaurant's atmosphere, adding a sense of space and style. It has become a unique feature of the restaurant, adding character and serving as a great backdrop for photos and private events.

Satama Bar & Bistro, Kalasatama, Helsinki
The restaurant owner requested a dark Kalasatama landscape for this 8.35m x 2.95m wall, featuring the (then-existing) skyscrapers. When thinking about Kalasatama, I immediately thought of Isoisän Bridge, so I drew inspiration from the area. From Mustikkamaa, I captured the perfect Kalasatama-view, and the photo I took became the reference for the mural. The scene beautifully incorporates iconic elements of Kalasatama: the towers, bidge, metro, and sea. This over 24m² mural has been wonderfully received, functioning year-round during both lunh and evening hours, and providing a fantastic backdrop for performers in front of it.
